Copley Wolff Design Group planned and designed the surrounding streetscape, a green roof, and two garden parks as part of the new Liberty Mutual tower in Boston’s historic Back Bay. The linear park on Stuart Street contains a double row of flowering trees, limestone and granite seating, steel decorative elements, and planting; the green roof, located atop the new Conference Center, is intended for viewing purposes only and is planted with a mix of sustainable drought tolerant sedums and succulents to provide year-round interest; improvements to the Stuart, Columbus, and Berkeley streetscapes include granite paving, lighting, bike racks, street trees, public art, and planters; and the St. James Street Garden contains plantings, stone seat cubes, lighting, living walls, honey locust trees, and a custom-designed water feature.
