Dyer Wharf
Location / Providence, Rhode Island
Client / City of Providence / CV Properties / SGA
As part of a bold vision for the revitalization of Providence’s I-195 District, Dyer Wharf represents a pivotal opportunity to reimagine the city’s riverfront. Located at Parcels 14 and 15, this transformative development is rooted in a strategic master plan—designed to drive economic vitality and urban connectivity.
Copley Wolff is leading the landscape architecture efforts in collaboration with the architect, developer, and the I-195 Redevelopment District Commission.
Our design includes a layered network of public spaces that prioritize resiliency, community engagement, and pedestrian experience, connecting existing pathways of the park and the foot traffic from the Michael S. Van Leesten Memorial Bridge. These spaces are carefully integrated with the surrounding urban fabric to encourage walkability, social interaction, and environmental sustainability.
Copley Wolff’s approach was informed by historic site research, urban design guidelines, and extensive coordination with the City Design Review Committee and local stakeholders.
